It starts...

Learning by doing - here we go!

Leave it to water to help you feel reborn.

Today. Finally got through that damned first chapter of Good to Great. Tread water. Drank water. Called mum, dad, jen, gram, and aunt joe. I finallllllly, after months, figured out my personal travel schedule for the next months. What a load off. Great Board of Directors meeting this moring. First time in a while I found myself more reserved and liking it - not laying all my cards out, only the cards I needed.

Today I am beautiful. Today I am healthy. Today I am reflective. Today I am what I like myself to be… at peace, calm, inquisitive. Today I was alone. Today I was with people. Today I encouraged a little boy to figure out where the puzzle piece fit on his own. Today I saw how easy it is to let your ego run loose and tell people where things should go and take the puzzle pieces from them when its clear they are more than capable of doing it themselves. Its not just about not trusting others… its about egos, about showing what you know… the fear that to not act may appear to be a sign of cowardess or ignorance.

New chapter. Loop closed - a loop that was opened a year ago today in Edmonton, as I began my travels throughout the west. This Wednesday another loop closes - I will leave my LC visit in Halifax - the first of my LC visits. At time I thought I'd never be ready. At time I thought it would never end. At times I thought I didn't want it to end. So strange that these are my last visits/travels around Canada as regional vice president. So many things are coming full circle. Saskatoon. The West. PMs. Closer. FF. Good to Great, Shanghai.

That means I'm in for new curves. Briliant. (: Plus there's so many in the works... wide open, no signs of slowing.

First try. We'll see how this goes.
