Okay, fine - Halloween is cool.

At first glance, for someone in his/her early 20s... Halloween just seems like some machismo sex-fest, mardi gras all around... where men wear super "manly" outfits and women happily objectify themselves. But then I remembered... a decade before, in your teens or earlier, Halloween was always a fun time to show off your interests in living color, e.g. the time me and my friends were the crew of the Enterprise, Star Trek, what! And a decade later, in your 30s, its a time to take care of your little kiddies... like this guy, my nephew, Nathan! He is already 9 months old!!! Oh they grow up so fast!

Nothing better in the world...

THAN POO FACE PICTURES!

To post ALL my pictures of me and Jomie making poo faces would take some times... so here is only the most recent. Note the very different poos taking place.

Furthermore, according to this article... I learned this face from my parents. KEKEKEKEKEKEK.

NO WAYYYYYYYY!

I was telling Bost -- why in the hell didn't I read about this on the BBC website?!?!??! The Detroit Tigers making the World Series is GROUNDBREAKING. Even though, let's be honest, I'm a fairweather fan who has never watched the world series in her life... but thinking back at what a joke the Tigers were at those games in elementary school just chilling in the stands... this is kind of surreal. Kekeke.

Remembering...

Just finished re-reading Celestine Prophecy. Naturally, how I re-fell upon it was a series of coincidences I had the hunch to follow, which is paramount to the ideas in this novel - becoming aware of and reacting to "coincidences." On the one hand... I feel self conscious that I identify with the key themes of this book, because it could easily be brushed aside as spiritual mumbo-jumbo, but on the other hand... I really can't deny it. I suppose perception is reality, and that is my reality. I'd go into the huge ring of coincidences... but I'm way too private about my life.

Re-reading books that had a profound impact on your life, whether or not you realized it at the time, is a great way to see how you have grown, and what hasn't changed... seeing your values and behaviours with fresh eyes. When I re-read The Leadership Engine, I could see what had been profound the first time I read it, and compare that with what was profound the second time reading it, and see how that connected with my personal development in relation to leadership.

Reading The Celestine Prophecy again, I again see how the first time I read it, the 8th insight stuck with me, but this time, I see how I only only saw the relationship aspect of the 8th insight... not the power of sending and receiving energy, and of avoiding taking others energy (5th insight.)

Purr. Reflective day.

History... what in the hell happened?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/6043730.stm

Wow. Turkish deny it happened. Armenians are celebrating that it is finally being accepted that it did. France is threatening that Turkey will not join the EU if they don't come out and say that it did happen. Unreal... you would think that facts would be simple and straight about GENOCIDE, eh? Un-f-ing-real. Doesn't it feel like 1915 wasn't even that long ago? Last century all seems to be recent...MLK was just a few decades ago... strange that even now with such different/new technology and access to information we still are relatively unaware of what is happening TODAY.

So annoying. Every time I read the news I want to go live in the country I'm reading about. Internship in Turkey? Internship in Armenia? Oh dear. News is bad. HOW WILL I EVER DECIDE?!?

BEST LIBRARY EVER!!!

YESSSSS. I have finally overcome my disgusting, consumeristic, n.american need to own and deface every damn book I read! VICTORY!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!! ONE DISGUSTING HABIT DOWN! COUNTLESS MORE TO GOOO!!!

That's right. I am now a REGULAR library go-er. I even bought one of those sexy Toronto Public Library canvas bags. I AM HOT STUFF! Especially considering the only people that regulary use libraries are either under 15 or over 51. :) Kekeke.

But for RUHL, this library is awesome... Its the LARGEST PUBLIC LIBRARY SYSTEM IN CANADA WITH 99 BRANGES AND 11 MILLION ITEMS TO BORROW OR USE!!! YES!!! Actually, I've never actually read library stats... so this could be shit and I woudln't know any better. ;) Oh the power of big numbers. I heart it. I just placed a hold on a book that was in another library and they'll send it over to mine and notify me via the phone and my online account when it arrives. Fucking coooool. I think I'm probably just fascinated because I haven't used a public library since high school and now they've fandangled themselves. Oh what will they think of next... ;p

Damn it feels good to be a gansta...

DETROIT WHAT! Detroit, Ann Arbor, same difference, right? ;p At any rate, just heard from an old school friend about the latest about MBAs from the Wall Street Journal.

Oh the competitiveness of Americans and college rankings... so weird. In Canada the competitiveness isn't as intense about this stuff... and also... college and univeristy are not interchangeable words! WHA!!?!?? Yes, crazy, I know.

Very tricky. Where will I go for the MBA? Michigan where Citizenship reigns supreme? Stanford or Berkeley so I can study in a uni that is in a city TOTALLY new to me? Or NYC or Columbia so I can live it up with the Pimp Pad and bring 507 to NYC? Oh the decisions... thereagain, one of these programs actually has to accept me... which also means I will eventually need to stop traveling and take my poo GMAT. >Shiver.<>

Rando

Yes. Random mood. Stas and I are just chilling in our excessively posh room. We just left a weird party... no kidding, way too many people put on togas for shit. Absurd. Stas, JK, and I wore pillow shams... which were really really ghetto togas... and we were judged. But we looked damn good... so I think maybe people were just jealous to not be wearing shams. Note: these shams were leopard print... we looked slightly slutty, and slighty like the flinstones family. Very strange, very strange. We're dumb.. we did not take a picture. Ergo... I have posted random picture of me wearing pimppad shirt that I wore today. Sensical.
